I bought a condo at Honua Kai and being that I don’t live in Maui, I complied a list of things that were important to me when looking for a property manager. I talked to Chris Geng and was impressed with the service levels he talked about as well as the staff being Marriott and Ritz-Carlton trained. The listing photos were fabulous! I got my first renter within days. The staff is friendly and have gone above and beyond my expectations! What a pleasant surprise. My condo is clean and the links as well as owner websites are very informative. I cannot say enough about Maui Resort Rentals. They are simply the Best!!!!

We have two units in the Whaler under MRR management. We could not be happier with their performance! Over our 45 years of Whaler ownership we have used other management companies but MRR has provided the best customer service, both to our guests and to us as owners. They have responded quickly and professionally to service requests and repair needs and are always willing to assist us when we have a need. Most importantly, MRR has consistently maximized our occupancy percentage and rates! Moving our portfolio over to MRR three years ago has paid dividends beyond our expectations. My wife and I have owned our condo for 12 years and previously used the services of the on-site management company for 10 years. However, after average rental revenue/night started to decrease, we thought it time for a change. We transitioned to Maui Resort Rentals and have been very pleased with that decision. In addition to their staff being friendly and professional, they use a marketing program and rental algorithm that maximizes revenue/night, with less wear and tear on the condo. We also utilize their homeowner's website, where we can reserve our condo for personal use, see future guest rentals and manage rental paperwork. This user-friendly website was not available from our previous rental company. In addition, the Maui Resort Rentals housekeeping and maintenance staff has been exemplary, with timely service and a pre-arrival inspection process which ensures guests and owners a clean and well-maintained condo upon check-in. With all of these positives, we look forward to many more years of this mutually beneficial partnership

We have a “real” success story that we would like to share. We really don’t want to insult our previous management company, so I have to give it some thought. But if it wasn’t for MRR, we would likely have sold our unit and never purchased again. Now we are sitting on a $3m-3.5M property, and we make money every month. We have had our two Honua Kai properties with Chris Geng and the Maui Resort ohana since 2015. They are dedicated to maximizing our rental income while keeping our properties in pristine condition. Our rental income has almost doubled since inception and we were doing pretty well even from Day 1 (Our unit was rented on the day we closed escrow!). MRR has a robust website so an increasing number of our guests book directly through MRR and avoid booking fees charged through third parties like VRBO, although our units are marketed on multiple other sites. These same guests also often come back to stay in our units, which also speaks highly of the responsiveness of the Guest Experience Team. The MRR Owner Experience team has also helped us update and maintain our Honua Kai properties. They have referred us to local retailers, artists, and craftsmen. Painting, furniture updates, etc. all coordinated with us on the mainland. During the lockdown, we had no worries about our units as the MRR ohana was keeping watch. MRR also has a robust owner portal which makes it easy to track bookings, expenses, and monthly statements. The accounting team take care of all our taxes and have been very helpful any time a question may arise. Simply the best! We only wish Maui Resort were available to manage properties elsewhere!
