1. Lahaina Sushi KO
Lahaina Sushi KO is an authentic Japanese restaurant located in a courtyard off of Front Street. It’s situated below The Dirty Monkey sports bar, and adjacent to a collection of Lahaina art galleries.
This Maui sushi spot only opened a few years ago. Still, they’re regarded as one of the top places to find an authentic Japanese menu with sushi rolls, bowls, maki, hand rolls, and more.
At Maui’s Sushi KO, guests will find a small sushi bar, and a quaint courtyard dining area. The menu is moderately priced, the service is friendly, and it’s located just steps away from Lahaina’s most exciting activities and music venues.
Lahaina Sushi KO does not take reservations, but they do have vegan options, and it’s easy to order take-out.

2. Miso Phat Sushi
Miso Phat Sushi has two locations on Maui: Kahana and Kihei. Kahana, their West Maui location, is found on the ground floor of an apartment complex on Lower Honoapiilani Road. Their Kahana restaurant is open 7-days a week and has an excellent reputation for high-quality fish and an innovative sushi menu.
For over 20 years, this family-owned business has been serving Maui’s community and visitors. In fact, the owners also own the Shiso Phat boat, which is a big reason why they’re known to have the freshest fish on Maui.
Miso Phat is a super Maui sushi spot for a date night or a dinner celebration with family and friends. The combination platters are affordable, and their baked rolls are the best in Hawaii. For those traveling with small children or people with dietary regulations, Miso Phat also offers Kids and Vegetarian items on their menu.

3. Kobe Steak House & Oku’s Sushi Bar
Kobe Steak House is located in the Heart of Historic Lahaina Town. For over 30 years, Kobe has been the go-to spot for authentic Japanese food in West Maui. It's an excellent choice for a Teppan-yaki, steak, and sushi meal.
Kobe is a popular place to go for large family celebrations, birthdays, and happy hour. The menu prices are reasonable, and the staff is welcoming and friendly.
Inside the restaurant, Oku’s Sushi Bar menu is packed with delicious and authentic Japanese dishes. Guests can order from a large selection of Nigiri, Sashimi, Maki Sushi, Sushi Rolls, and Specialty Items. They also offer Combination trays like the Samurai, Kobe, and Emperor plates.

4. Choice Health Bar
Choice Health Bar is a privately owned plant-based restaurant on Maui. In fact, they now have three locations on Maui; Lahaina, Ka’anapali, and Paia. They’re not specifically a sushi restaurant, but they do have vegan sushi rolls and soba noodle bowls on their menu.
Regardless if you are a vegan or not, Choice serves up some delicious plant-based sushi rolls. Everything on their menu is delicious, healthy, fresh, and organic.
In addition to sushi rolls, salads, and healthy plates, Choice also provides a menu full of superfoods, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and vegan desserts. For those that plan ahead of time, you can pre-arrange a custom cleanse package. For those that are beach-hopping or headed out on a Maui adventure, Choice also has pre-made foods, juices, and elixirs in their to-go fridge.

5. Japengo at Hyatt Maui Resort
Japengo is located at the Hyatt Regency Maui in Kaanapali. It’s a Japanese and Pacific Rim fusion lounge-style eatery that offers an incredible menu full of locally sourced ingredients and exotic flavors.
Japengo is island-famous for both residents and visitors. It’s one of the best places for sushi, steak, and seafood in West Maui. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s a fabulous place to enjoy sunset and a meal.
At Japengo’s chic sushi lounge, guests can start their meal by ordering a soju spritzer, a Japanese beer, or one of their modern cocktails like the ‘Take Me Back to Tokyo,’ (made with Kikori Japanese Whiskey). They also have an impressive sake menu and sake flights.

6. Paia Fish Market-Lahaina
Paia Fish Market has three locations on Maui: Lahaina, Kihei, and their original location in Paia Town. The Lahaina location is situated on Front Street across from the Lahaina Boat Harbor and Historic Banyan Tree Park.
Although Paia Fish Market isn’t a dedicated sushi restaurant, they happen to have one of the freshest seafood menus on Maui. Most notably, head to Paia Fish Market for their Sashimi Platters.
Upon meal arrival at Paia Fish Market, guests will immediately notice that the plates of food are massive. If you love a big and filling meal, and if you’re craving a healthy serving of fresh Ahi sashimi, here’s your go-to spot.
With both indoor and outdoor seating, Lahaina’s Paia Fish Market is a great place to go for Lunch or Dinner. It’s family-friendly, and a perfect spot to dine with a large group.

7. Sansei in Kapalua
Sansei has two restaurants on Maui: Kapalua and Kihei. Both locations are fantastic! Sansei’s menu is a fusion of authentic Japanese cuisine and local Hawaiian fare.
West Maui’s Sansei restaurant is located within the Kapalua resort area. The menu is award-winning with a large selection of dishes like soups, salads, noodles, tempura, nigiri sushi, specialty rolls, and combination platters.
Sansei in Kapalua is open for dinner 7-days a week from 5-10pm. The restaurant is super popular, so we definitely suggest that you make reservations ahead of time. They also offer late-night dining on Thursday and Friday from 10pm-1am.

Teppan-Yaki Dan’s is not a dedicated sushi spot. But they do have Ahi poke and tasty Japanese cold and hot selections on their menu. It’s a Maui dining experience that excels at family-style dining– all will surely enjoy eating here.
When visiting this West Maui restaurant, order starters, and taste a selection of their signature entrees like the Pacific Scallops, Rib Eye, and the Hawaiian Catch of the Day. 9. Roy’s in Kaanapali
Roy’s in Ka’anapali is one of West Maui’s oldest restaurants. It’s just one of Roy Yamaguchi’s world-wide network of restaurants, and it’s been operating on Maui for over 34 years.
When at Roy’s, guests enjoy flavors from Hawaii, China, Japan, and Korea. It’s a fusion restaurant of a singular type, and their sushi selections are delicious! In fact, Yamaguchi Sushi® is a registered trademark.
Roy’s is known for family-style dining, so make sure to order a little bit of everything for the table to share. No matter what time of the day you’re dining at Roy’s, authentic Japanese appetizers and sushi rolls are available.
Located at the Ka’anapali Golf Course, Roy’s is open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner 7-days a week. They also offer a ‘Pupu’s in the Bar’ menu from 2pm-4:40pm for those that are looking for an afternoon snack and pau hana on the greens.

10. Moku Roots
Moku Roots is another awesome plant-based vegan spot that offers rolls and bowls in West Maui. Here’s a great place to go for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Take-out in Lahaina. On the weekend, you can even check them out for Brunch!
